Taste of the City: Chicago Restaurant Week

Every winter, we look forward to Chicago Restaurant Week as well as the chance to sample our city’s best cuisines. This annual culinary celebration features more than 370 restaurants, all offering special prix fixe menus. With delicious curated menus as well as reasonable prices, there’s no better way to experience a taste of the city!

Chicago Restaurant Week begins January 26th and runs through February 8th.

The Best of Chicago Restaurant Week:

Allium

Nestled along the Magnificent Mile, Allium is one of the city’s most famous spots. Named one of the “Top Restaurants in the Gold Coast Neighborhood” by Zagat, it offers a comfortable atmosphere along with its contemporary Midwestern cuisine. The menu is the creation of executive chef Sean Murray. With over fifteen years of experience, Murray is renowned for his healthy yet delicious meals. During the event, be sure to try the Selva prawns and crispy pork belly, as well as the seasonal dessert.

Bar Takito

Bar Takito takes guests on a culinary journey through Mexico, Central America, and South America. Located in the West Loop & Fulton Market District, Bar Takito offers an experience that’s both authentic and approachable. The modern dining room features gigantic theater lights, a colorful mural, and bright red chairs. It’s the perfect place to meet friends and family as well as coworkers. In the kitchen, tortillas are made by hand, and fresh ingredients are incorporated into every dish. The Chicago Restaurant Week menu features pineapple guacamole, Ropa Vieja, and coconut mousse bread pudding.

Bistro Campagne

Bistro Campagne is a cozy French eatery that features a charming blend of prairie-inspired decor and lively Gallic spirit. You’ll find exceptionally friendly service as you enjoy your meal in the wood-trimmed dining room. Hand-painted murals also line the walls, adding to Bistro Campagne’s artsy atmosphere. The chefs use organic ingredients from farms across America, and the prix fixe menu includes Soup du Jour and Boeuf Bourguignon as well as creme brulee.
