Experience The Chicago Tribune Dining Awards

According to Phil Vettel, this has been the best year of Chicago dining yet, which is why the Chicago Tribune Dining Awards is designed to ignite your senses.

Held on May 17 at Venue One, this event features the city’s best restaurants, breweries, and food trucks all in one place.

Those participating this year include:

Dos Urban Cantina – Named one of Chicago Magazine’s top five “Best New Restaurants,” Dos Urban Cantina opened in the Logan Square neighborhood in 2015. The menu features an original interpretation of Mexican cuisine that’s inspired by the boldness and bounty of Mexico. Using fresh ingredients, the chefs prepare a limited menu which includes meals such as Carne Asada, Crispy Pacific Cod, and Pan Roasted Chicken.

BlackbirdBlackbird is a critically acclaimed restaurant that is home to Paul Kahan, a James Beard Award-winning chef. He and Chef de Cuisine Ryan Pfeiffer are known for creating elegant and imaginative Midwestern dishes using farm-fresh ingredients.

Gene & Georgetti – Nestled in the heart of River North, Gene & Georgetti is the oldest as well as one of the finest steakhouses in the city. It was founded in 1941 by Gene Michelotti and Alfredo “Georgetti” Federighi, who worked hard to establish the restaurant’s excellent reputation that is still known today. Over the years, it has served celebrities such as Frank Sinatra, Lucille Ball, and Will Ferrell, in addition to local and national politicians.

If you can’t make this event, these restaurants are less than fifteen minutes from OneEleven Apartments, making it easy for residents to enjoy a delicious meal. If you would like to call our apartment community home, please contact us to schedule a tour.
