Curate Your Summer Reading List at the Harold Washington Library Center

In search of a great new summer read? Don’t forget about Chicago’s impressive network of public libraries, especially Harold Washington Library Center on South State Street. This is the CPL’s main branch, and boasts an impressive array of reading material, along with events, children’s center, maker lab, and more.

The current health crisis has limited some of the center’s services, but there is still a wealth of material to discover. Maybe this summer is a great time to re-read an old favorite, or to look up a classic that you’ve never had time to enjoy. You could take up a hobby, master a new type of cuisine, or learn about the history of our nation, all with the help of FREE materials from the library. The Harold Washington Library Center even includes an outdoor garden on the 9th floor if you want to stay a while.
