Ice Skating in Millennium Park: An Active Way to Get in the Holiday Spirit
Millennium Park has something special for every season, and winter is certainly no exception. Don’t miss Ice Skating in Millennium Park for a fun, festive, and free way to get outdoors, not to mention a great way to burn off those big holiday meals. Visit the McCormick Tribune Ice Rink for the Winter Workout program, including free skate lessons on select weekend and during Chicago Public Schools winter break. All you need is a free admission wristband, and your skates. Onsite rentals and sharpening are also available, as well as regular skate hours seven days a week. But don’t just think ‘exercise’ when you imagine a few laps around the rink. It should be fun too! The rink has you covered there as well with Ice Rink DJ nights on the first and third Thursday of each month through the winter.
Millennium Park has so many great restaurants and attractions nearby – be sure to add ice skating at the McCormick Tribune Ice Rink before or after one of your trips to the east side this holiday season.
