Try Something New During Chicago Restaurant Week

The tenth annual Chicago Restaurant Week kicks off on January 27th and it’s a great way to try some of the fantastic eateries in the city. It runs through February 9th and this year the celebration features special menus for brunch, lunch, and dinner. More than 350 restaurants participate and there’s a delicious dish for everyone. Some of the restaurants near One Eleven Apartments you may want to try include:

Acanto

Just steps from Millennium Park, Acanto is an Italian restaurant located inside a historical building that features distinctive terracotta ornamentations on the facade. As a child, executive chef Christopher Gawronski spent time in his father’s Italian restaurants and Acanto’s menu was inspired by his experience. Menu options include Chicory Salad, Tuscan White Bean Stew, and Chocolate Tartufo.

Barcocina

Located in the heart of Lakeview, Barcocina is considered by many to be the city’s best Mexican-inspired restaurant. The dining room features rustic reclaimed wood and sensual fireplaces, making guests feel as though they are in a cozy mountain cabin. On the Restaurant Week menu, you will find choices such as Queso Fundido, Seared Ahi Tuna, and Truffled Mushroom Tacos.

Beacon Tavern

Beacon Tavern offers a rustic, casual upscale setting that features picturesque views of downtown Chicago. The menu consists of enhanced interpretations of tavern classics along with seafood forward dishes. The three-course dinner menu includes Peekytoe Crab Dip, Beer Can Chicken, and an Opera Torte.
